Kennel Enrichment 062815
We are proud of the work our Kennel Enrichment volunteers perform every day at Indianapolis Animal Care & Control and honored that the shelter allows us the opportunity to enrich the lives of shelter animals.
2015 is our fifth year anniversary for the Kennel Enrichment Program. We hold quarterly Day of Service events to provide all volunteers the opportunity to learn more about our program and see the awesome work that is being done at the shelter. The more volunteers we have on hand, the more work we can accomplish!
We are proud to say that at this Day of Service every adoptable dog went outside two, if not three times. Volunteers helped groom dogs, nail trims, clean kennels, do laundry, wash dishes, take out trash, practice leash walking skills, provide calm time in the Real Room and run the first playgroup of the year! We may also be pulling a pup, but since she is still under her stray wait we can't tell you anymore about her until she is ours!
A huge thank you to everyone that made today possible. The Kennel Enrichment Program is close to my heart, it was why I got involved with Casa del Toro. I love having the opportunity to share my enthusiasm with others and while I may be exhausted by the end of the day my heart is lifted.
Join us at our next day of service!

Hey that's me!
I was walking back to do a load of laundry and noticed my picture (top left) with Chris on this IACC info-poster!
